The earthquake not only caused severe infrastructure damage but also affected the livelihood of millions. To give support to families whose livelihood was lost, ERRA paid Rs 18,000 Livelihood Cash Grant to each family over a period of 6 months; however, the grant worth Rs 410.526 Million was extended to 22,807 most vulnerable families for another 6 months. Community Livelihood Rehabilitation Plans (CLRP) caters for village level development plans where plans are identified by communities. Communities contribute 10% towards the total cost of project, where ERRA contributes a maximum of Rs 0.75 Million for each village and Rs 7.5 Million for each Union Council.
