On January 19, 2009 a meeting was held at ERRA Headquarters Islamabad to review the progress of projects being implemented by SERRA and PERRA against the set targets. Lt Gen Sajjad Akram, Deputy Chairman ERRA, presided over the meeting. All DGs, Advisors and other senior officials attended the meeting. DG SERRA, Dr Asif Shah, apprised the participants of projects at various stages of the construction. The Deputy Chairman directed that the designing of Education Sector projects must be completed by 30th March, 2010, and the contractors showing poor performance should also be disciplined in accordance with the contract agreement.
Director Coordination PERRA, Dr Fazal Ur Rehman, apprised the meeting about the progress made by PERRA in all sectors. The Deputy Chairman emphasized the need to speed up the process of designing and tendering of all projects to achieve the targets within the given time frame.
