 Progress of light gauge structure schools in AJ&K reviewed

A meeting was held on February 20, 2010 to review the progress of light gauge structure schools in AJ&K. Lt Gen Sajjad Akram, Deputy Chairman ERRA, presided over the meeting. Director Technical, Muhammad Ishaq apprised the participants of the present state of projects in Bagh and Rawlakot. The Deputy Chairman directed to bring the remaining 130 projects under construction as soon as possible, and to improve the outlook of newly constructed schools, which will not only attract the children to attend to schools, but also provide them with a friendly environment.
Chief Engineer SERRA, apprised about the progress of projects in Muzaffarabad. He informed that a contractor in Muzaffarabad was not responding despite a number of reminders and personal contacts. The Deputy Chairman instructed that matter be looked into to accelerate the pace of work in Muzaffarabad.
The Deputy Chairman also directed that remaining projects be awarded immediately, and the work on already awarded projects be accelerated.
