Human
nature and workplace psychology
dictate rewards and recognition, for
good work, to the employees.
Recognition is not only a source of
satisfaction but also a motivating
factor for even better performance.
Realising the significance of
motivation for the workers, the
Deputy Chairman ERRA, Lt Gen
Muhammad Haroon Aslam, instituted
the “Best Performer of the Quarter”
award to promote the spirit of
healthy competition among the ERRA
staff, for enhanced performance.
Director Rural Housing Complaints,
Mr. Muhammad Safdar was declared Best
Performer for the first quarter of
2010 (January-March). His photograph
has been displayed at the entrance of
main block of ERRA Headquarters to
serve as a source of inspiration for
the fellow colleagues to further
improve their performance.
The major achievements of Mr.
Muhammad Safdar include presentation of 445
cases before the Honourable Wafaqi
Mohtasib of which 93% were decided
in favour of ERRA. He also responded
to 224 Supreme Court cases. To date,
under his directorship, 6357 rural
housing complaints have been
addressed and 2887 forms have been
filled and sent to NADRA.
Furthermore, the implementation
status of cases where decisions have
been made against ERRA is 59%.
Mr. Muhammad Safdar, who has
relentlessly worked round the clock
to serve the earthquake victims in
his capacity as Director Rural
Housing Complaints, has been rightly
adjudged the Best Performer of the
Quarter January-March 2010.
