Deputy Chairman ERRA calls on Hoti

Deputy Chairman ERRA Lt Gen Muhammad Haroon Aslam called on Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Mr. Ameer Haider Khan Hoti at his office on Monday June 7, 2010. ACS KPK Ghulam Dastageer and high officials of ERRA, PERRA and PDMA were also present on the occasion.

Matters relating to progress construction of projects in 2005 earthquake affected areas of KPK remained under discussion during the meeting. Issues and problems causing unnecessary delay in completion of construction projects also discussed in the meeting. There was a general consensus to ensure fullest cooperation and collaboration between ERRA and concerned line departments of KPK to ensure completion of planned and under construction projects without further loss of time.

Later on a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ERRA and PDMA for transfer of Disaster Risk Management Programme’s results and outcomes to PDMA. The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and Deputy Chairman ERRA Lt Gen Muhammad Haroon Aslam were also present on the occasion. Mr. Asghar Ali acting DG PDMA, on behalf of PDMA, and Brig (Retd) Amir Mumtaz, on behalf of ERRA, signed the memorandum. The pilot project of Disaster Risk Management Programme was started at a limited scale in March, 2008, and due to it success it has been extended to the earthquake affected districts of KPK; including Abbottabad, Batagram, Shangla and Kohistan.
