The Chairman ERRA, Altaf Muhammad Saleem, visited the newly established ERRA library on February 24, 2010. COS, Brig Masuood Ahmed was also present on this occasion. Advisor KMC, Brig ® Muhammad Asif apprised the Chairman of aims and objective of establishing library. He also briefed the Chairman about the publications and computerised data available in the library. While expressing his satisfaction over the present state of library, the Chairman suggested certain measures to improve the standard and services of the library. These suggestions included; training of the librarian about cataloging system, availability of publications and research material on the recent natural disasters in the world, binding of monthly and quarterly newsletters in a book form, availability of the studies on seismic resistant construction, disaster risk reduction, research, mapping on fault lines, etc. sponsored by ERRA and books and research material on October 2005 earthquake in the library.

In the end, the Chairman appreciated the standard and facilities available in the library; he desired that efforts be made to make the library a useful and conducive place for researchers and scholars interested in obtaining information about management of natural disasters.
